Bellafina is back! This is her 5th year visiting Camp Blazing Trails and her most favorite part of Summer Vacation! I am so happy to see her. It took her a couple extra days to swim up from Carolina Beach because of the storms. She met with all the campers today and they made some seashell and charm necklaces and bracelets! She also brought her journal again this year so the kids could read about her adventures and write her notes. She will be swimming at Falls Lake a couple more days before she heads back to Topsail.

Bellafina is back visiting for the Summer and surprised the kids at Camp Blazing Trails today. She had a bunch of beautiful shells that she gave the kids to make seashell necklaces. What a great day!
Bellafina is back for the Summer! She loves to swim at Falls Lake. Today she got to finally see all her friends at Camp Blazing Trails as well as meet some new ones. She even brought her friend, Mrs. Withers. She is a school teacher visiting all the way from South Africa. She had heard how mermaids come on shore here, and wanted to see it for herself. No mermaids have been spotted on shore yet in South Africa.
Bellafina was at Falls Lake today visiting Camp Blazing Trails again. She was so excited to be back. She brought some seashells which she painted and the kids turned them into necklaces. The got to take a peak into her journal where she talks about all her adventures and they got to write her messages. She is so glad to be back visiting this year!!
I saw Bellafina today and she showed me all the wonderful messages the campers wrote to her. They are so sweet! :)
I talked to Bellafina today and she had so much fun visiting with the campers at Camp Blazing Trails. She read them stories, they wrote in her journal, and they got to pick out of our treasure box. What a hot day!

BellafinaBellafina is my identical twin mermaid sister! She grew up swimming around the coasts of Italy, France, and Spain. She decided she wanted to study humans, so she swam through the Atlantic Ocean, all the way to Carolina Beach, NC. She spent a year at Carolina Beach, studying the humans there and getting to know the fish and dolphins that swim in the waters there. One day, she met a fish named Alejandro, who had swum all the way from Falls Lake down the Neuse River. He told her about a camp counselor named Mama Llama and all the campers at Camp Blazing Trails. She decided to swim up the Neuse River to visit Camp Blazing Trails and find Mama Llama. She wanted to learn about this human who knew so much about mermaids. She found Mama Llama, and was invited to stay at Camp Blazing Trails for the Summer. Mama Llama has been teaching Bellafina English and how to write. |
