I marched with 'Festival of Legends' in the St. Patricks Day Parade this year.  Mermaids, Pirates, Knights, fairies and more. It was a blast. The weather was beautiful and sunny and got up to the upper 60's-70. It was pretty breezy in the early morning and was worried I would freeze in my costume, but once we started moving it was fine. It was definitely a challenge in that walking tail but I managed to walk and dance without any disasters.  We kept hearing all the kids yelling out 'Mermaids'. They were so excited and I was happy to interact with the kids and give them high fives. People requested pics as I was walking and  one man actually yelled out for me to 'STOP, STOP, STOP' so he could take my photo. LOL.  After giving a girl a high five, I heard her say ' I got the touch the mermaid'. So glad I got to do this, and cannot wait to do Festival of Legends. I will be dancing with the Lost Nomads for 2 shows each day and hanging out in the Mermaid Cove throughout the weekend. Save the date: April 26-27 for Festival of Legends.

YEAH, so my new Neoprene tail is done! I worked so hard on this and the painting was not easy, that's for sure, but I am pretty happy with the results. I am in the process of making two new shell tops, one is Abalone and the other purple Lion Paw Shells. They are both still in progress, but I wanted to get some pics while I could. I had my hair done today, so while I looked cute, I decided to do an impromptu photo shoot. I made everything, tail, tops, necklace, headband, hair clip.

Gearing up for the Festival of Legends next month and we are making all kinds of fun Mermaid things that will be for sale at Mermaid Cove, so you won't want to miss it. We will have Mermaids dolls, shell jewelry, Mermaid crowns and more. Come and visit us and get your photos taken with some real North Carolina Mermaids.

I will have all of these new seashell necklaces available at Mermaid Cove at Festival of Legends in April. Been busily working on this collection. :)
